The surgery took the time to text me to encourage me to book an appointment after I’d had a wax removal with a private company. After a phone consultation with my gp, he decided it would be best for me to have an in person appointment to see if I needed a referral to ent, he gave me a next day appointment for the 25th and made it comfortable and easy for me both on the phone and in person. I’m now waiting for my ent appointment date and am grateful it was so quick and easy compared to past appointments I’ve had regarding my hearing issues. Very happy with the service compared to the gp I was with before.
All of the staff are amazing at the surgery.
The big problem is the appointment system. What a huge step backwards you have taken so ce you became part of this combined health group.
I love this surgery, the staff and everything about it. Dr O'Byrne and Dr Clarkson are amazing.
But it is an absolute nightmare getting an appointment. Been in today and Dr wants to see me on 4 weeks but I can't book anything. Ridiculous.
Great surgery rubbish booking rules and system.
Even though it is harder ti get a same day appointment these days, probably because the surgery is so very goid and its reputation has spread ww still got in this morning and got a referral to hospital via SAU the sane day and ate currently being fitted with IV fluids abd antibiotics sitting waiting for CT scan within 5 1/2 hours which is pretty good going,, so thanks very much
In my experience the receptionists are helpful and the nurses and doctors are competent and supportive. I’m generally very happy with the service. However, I would agree with other reviewers that the appointment system is extremely frustrating. Surely there must be a better way to organise it. It would be very easy just to give up, and potentially miss out on medical assistance when it’s really needed.
It seems that appointments can only be booked at 8am, if you try to call to book any other time you are told to phone the next working day at 8am. However the receptionists are always helpful and quick with dealing with any issues, they also try to book you in when best suits you.
